Welcome back Chef Rodriguez!

As Chef Jose Rodriguez puts it aptly: ''When I am not in the kitchen cooking, I am experimenting and reinventing myself continually. I don't know any other way to feel alive.'' After a long hiatus, Chef Rodriguez returns to Trapeze where he always felt at home. Under a new management, Jose is granted the opportunity to express his creativity in his work freely. With years of experience and much amassed recognition in some of the most well known Michelin Star awarded restaurants in the Bay Area, we are all excited to see what wonders he will bring.

''In addition to my regular menu, I'm trying what I call approachable foods - simpler in some cases and more sophisticated creations in other'' said Mr. Rodriguez, who has been working as a private chef and caterer for over 20 years.

Delicious food and attentive service. We enjoyed dining on a less-crowded weeknight. Crabcakes, eggplant parmesan, lobster ravioli, and chicken piccatta were all wonderful. Discovered this restaurant through the Open Table listing and will be back again!

Went to Trapeze to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday since she wanted Italian, and we were so happy to finally try this place. We had the crab cakes, tuna tartare, trapeze salad, alfredo, sausage risotto, and lobster ravoli, and the tiramisu! Food and cocktails were absolutely delicious and service was excellent! Restaurant was very cozy and staff was very friendly. We felt right at home!

Fantastic restaurant for a birthday celebration! Great food, nice ambience, and affordable prices! The waiter was very sweet and kind for my boyfriend's birthday! I appreciated his singing of the birthday song.

Great food. Interesting, complex dishes—well prepared. Attentive, unobtrusive service. We were there on a Sunday night, so it was not at all busy—but at least then it was quiet and easy to hear one another.
