Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Trail's End Pub and Grille offers a vibrant atmosphere with "tremendous service" and delightful drinks, like the "fantastic campfire fire cocktail." Although some dishes could be improved, the "super sweet and attentive" staff, especially Genie and Denise, enhance the dining experience. Perfect for families with diverse menu options and a cozy setting.

First course came out cold. Second course was missing dressing. Lots of empty table with many people waiting. Due to issues in kitchen. Cost lots of money to stay at hotel. The main restaurant needs to due better. Expectations were not met at all.

It took an hour to get the appetizers. Food came out cold, missing items, wrong sauce. The manager blamed the chef and “short staff”. Friday night in season. This place is a disaster.

This was one of the worst dinner experiences ever. We had a 7 pm reservation and we were seated right away. This was the high point of the evening. After waiting around 15 minutes, our waiter finally showed up at our table. We ordered drinks and 2 appetizers to start so those orders could be placed and then ordered our food after he came back. The appetizers finally came out after around 40 minutes. We ordered a hummus platter, which was fine and a Bavarian pretzel. What came out was not a Bavarian pretzel, but pretzel nuggets, and not just any pretzel nuggets, but the exact ones I have bought at Costco before. They even served the sauces from the same containers they come in from the Costco box. The worst part was they were clearly cooked in a microwave, not an oven, as they were hard and not edible. When cooked in an oven they are good, but again, don't need to go to a restaurant for those since can have at home. We had the waiter take the pretzels back, and we ordered nachos instead, and were told the order would be rushed out. After another 30 minutes we saw another table get nachos, but not us. We never got ours. After being at the restaurant 90 minutes or so our food finally came out. we had ordered fajitas. The chicken was burnt, and the shrimp was not edible. We spoke to the manager, who did take the food off of our bill, which was the right thing to do, but we all left hungry and not satisfied. What a disappointment. No need for a restaurant at an established hotel to be so horrible.

Service was very slow and not all of our food came out at once. The food was ok but nothing special. The location was great however.

Dear Shannon, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the service was slow and that not all of your food arrived at once. This is definitely not the experience we aim to provide, and we’ll be addressing this with our team to ensure better coordination and faster service in the future. Over-priced. $20++ for an entree made of 1 waffle and 1 chicken strip w/no sides. Flat beer. Empty on Friday night. Extra bonus: suggested tip calculated on total + tax.

I came to Trails end to celebrate my brithday with friends. From the moment we were seated we felt really taken care of. The server, Gina, knew the menu all to well! The food was just amazing: Bambam Shrimp, Chicken wings, Ribs, waffle and chicken, Loaded Mac and cheese, Shrimp and sausage with mashed potatoes!!!The new menu really blew us away. The head chef, Jessica, came out to greet us and she was very friendly. Jessica explained the (new and improved) menu in detail and even got us a free desert for my birthday. The service is top notched and the food exceeded our expectation. I’d definitely eat here again!

Our reservation was for 6:45. We didn’t get seated until a little after 7. The table was ready but there was no staff to join the tables together (we were at the bar waiting and watching as the table was right next to the bar). Once seated, our order wasn’t taken until 730. We then didn’t get our food until 830 but only half got their meal. The other meals came at 8:45. One person in our party didn’t get her meal until 855. They did accommodate by adjusting the price but two hours and 15 minutes is way too long for a mediocre experience. In addition, I was one of the lucky ones who received my meal first and my salmon was way overcooked. My daughter who got grilled cheese had to wait an extra 15 minutes to get her meal. By that time I was already done. It was an overall horrible experience.

Please know that your feedback has been shared with our team so we can address these issues and make improvements to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable dining experience for all our guests. Had to be one of the worst experiences we have ever had. The service, the food was absolutely horrible. They didn’t offer us drink refills. The Nachos looked like our kids made them, they were awful. They didn’t clear our plates, not even the appetizers for the entire duration of dinner. We were overcharged for sides that were supposed to come with the entrée. We weren’t offered dessert even though it was my girlfriend‘s birthday and it was on our reservation, we also had the worst server on Earth. Thanks for a special birthday Trails End. I am a huge foodie in the northeast and would never leave a review like this. But this was too much of a botch for me to not say anything. Don’t waste your money, go elsewhere.

Dear Tym, We deeply regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially on such an important occasion as your girlfriend’s birthday. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the issues you encountered with the service and food during your visit. The experience you described is far from the high standard we strive to deliver. We are addressing your concerns with our team to ensure situations like these do not occur again. Your mention of being overcharged and not receiving dessert for the celebration is especially concerning, and we will work to ensure these mistakes are not repeated. Once more, we sincerely apologize for your experience here and we hope to have the chance to provide you with a far better experience in the future. Sincerely, The Camelback team
