Ever since Tops Diner was established in 1942, our focus has always been to serve what our customers want, exactly when and how they want it. As the American dining culture shifts, we recognize we must strive to recreate the 1920’s renaissance that birthed the diner as we know it today, all the while preserving the historical and cultural identity that made Tops Diner the model all others hope to emulate.

By constantly evolving, we ensure our ability to provide a diverse menu of high quality options with the speed of service we’ve all become accustomed to, providing the uniquely satisfying experience synonymous with the Tops Diner name. Our hope is that we can grow as our clients do, and continue to serve both our Newark family, and our community at large.

    4th time here, got the nutella French toast and it was the best French toast I have ever tried! Staff was 10/10 as always!

    Parking was horrible We felt rushed while dining They cleaning your table while still eating. Waitress was all over the place forgetting food Loaded fries were over cooked with the cheese No flavor on the food

    Excellent all around a little loud sometimes but it's easy to drown out the the chatter after you sit for a second and the excellent food arrives

    TOPS is a Great eating place. I try to eat there whenever I'm in the area. My son experienced the same quality some months ago for the first time and like me has become a fan. We were both in town overnighting and made it a point to eat there with our families . As usual we weren't disappointed. TOPS is the best. .
