Tootles & French is a Wine Bar & Bistro located in the heart of Astoria, by Astorians for Astorians. In addition to 20 wines by the glass and over 100 by the bottle, our beverage selection includes wine-infused cocktails, sangrias, and specialty spirits. Our food pairings feature curated charcuterie boards, small plates, as well as full sized entrees and house-made gelato. Serving a new menu seasonally, we are proud of our Chef Jose Luis' unique take on American and French dishes with a Mexican influence and many more surprises. We have private lounge backspace to host any party or gatherings for up to 35 people!

Excellent time at Tootles and French for dinner. Love the staff, menu and ambiance. The wine variety is outstanding. Literally everything on the menu is beyond delicious.

Had an amazing brunch at Tootles and French for my boyfriend’s birthday on Sunday, and it definitely exceeded our expectations! The menu isn’t overwhelming and every dish we had was flavorful and well-executed. The cocktails were great, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. The owner was incredibly welcoming—he even gave us a house liquor on the way out as a thank you and shared details about their upcoming events (which I’m excited to check out!). A highlight was the live music, which was such a pleasant surprise—perfect volume, adding to the atmosphere without being too loud. Definitely a new favorite spot in Astoria, and I can’t wait to come back!

Pasta was slightly undercooked and gelato didn’t feel fresh, other than that food was good and ambience good as well. I’ll definitely give it another try.

We came in for the Prix Fixe menu for Valentine’s Day. The amount of food we received was just not worth what we paid.

Overall very very good meal. Service was outstanding. The bean dip and chopped cheese were very good, but the crab pasta and crème brûlée stole the show. The crab pasta was so crabby and had big chunks of crab meat. The crème brûle was perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

I took my girlfriend here after it won best new restaurant in America from USA TODAY, but we were both disappointed. Our server was very friendly, and he provided good service. The ambiance was nice, as their decorations and the lighting were good. We both ordered the NY skirt steak, and we were not impressed. The steak did not have good flavor, and the red potatoes it came with were not well seasoned. I expected better for the price and since it won best new restaurant.

Disappointed… service was terrible not a bus boy in sight… hostesses couldn’t even be bothered to clear a table despite being right on top of us…. Mac and cheeese was scary, drinks were warm…. Overall vibes were off… thought all the cheer and accolades of this place I could find one good thing to say but sadly I can’t! Severely underwhelmed
