   I don’t understand why you always forget about not going to Toca Madera. I had a reservation for 9:45, but I arrived at 9:40 and still had to wait at the bar for my table to be ready. When I finally got seated at 10:15, I ended up with the worst table. I feel like they do this because they want people to order expensive drinks at the bar. Also, when you’re a party of fewer than four people, they give you a table that’s awkwardly close to others, barely giving you any space, just to fit in more reservations. The food quality is also very low. On top of that, it took half an hour to get the bill and check out. I literally missed two Ubers because of the delay. Hopefully, I’ll remember not to book this restaurant again.

   Overall the visit was ok. The food is pretty bland and the atmosphere is really dark and honestly no reason to come before the entertainment which doesn’t start before 830pm.

   Very disappointed in the wait time to be seated and the waiter never attended to us throughout the dining experience. We’ll never come back.

   Always fun atmosphere and great food. Just little bit loud, music always blasting, but still enjoyed atmosphere. Love chicken enchiladas and flahitas. Service is to high standards. Prices not cheap. It's more like a club vibe atmosphere. Fun! Highly recommend trying it.

   My partner and I have come here on a few occasions and enjoy the food, however, this time the food was extremely salty. We had gotten the birria quesadilla and it was like biting into salt. The mac and cheese was absolutely flavorless. The ala roca was not seasoned at all and tasted very gamey. We spent over $350 without tip and didn’t even enjoy the meal in all honesty. The hamachi and the street corn were good though. Our server was nice. Used to love this place but it was a complete waste of $350.

   Service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Server had attitude and just didn’t care. Plates never got changed out, drinks were forgotten (didn’t ring them in) and ordered bottled water multiple times before it ever showed up. But really bad attitude is what gets the 1 star rating.

   Toca Madera has changed a lot and not for the better. You can tell they’re more focused on getting customers in and out vs a great customer experience. Pressured to order quickly and drinks take way too long and aren’t that great. A lot of favorites are gone from the menu and they’re trying to be a steak house instead. I don’t think I’ll come back anymore the value is not what it used to be.

    Had a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was energetic and entertaining, and the food was delicious (although small portions). The drinks were good, but a little on the sweeter side (even the Old Fashion). Overall it was a pleasant place to have a birthday dinner.
