   Absolutely lovely staff and food excellent especially the lamb dish. The sausage dish could do with being a bit bigger but otherwise could not fault anything. The garlic bread starter has to be tried - just amazing.

   Slow service caused us to not get our pudding & we were askedd to leave for the next table. Booked for Mother's day. Was going to have 3 courses for 5 people. 40 min in & starter arrives. We were happy so no problem. Main course arrives. No problem. We had children so may not have been the quickest. We ordered pudding. Then we get told we had to eat it outside. At no point did we get told there was a window or had to vacate the table. We had no control over the service or how quick the kitchen was. Clearing tables was not the quickest & there was a big gap between starters & main. Evidently the window to have a table was too small for allowing the staff to fulfil there job to give tables time to eat. Why offer 3 courses if it is not possible to get the food to us in time? When we complained the response was they have a lot of tables. My retort was that we don't control the food coming out, how long it takes to clear tables or how long each table has. No apology which infuriated all of us. Happy Mother's Day!

   We had a lovely lunch here. The location is perfect and the best fish and chips from a pub!

   Best Sunday roast I’ve had in ages. This pub and its 3 other sister pubs in Kent, are perhaps the very finest the county has to offer when it comes to family gastro pubs

   As always, a wonderful lunch, accompanied with Gusbourne sparking wine from 5 miles down the road. Staff were friendly and attentive.

   If I wasn’t a local, I wouldn’t return. Sadly we got completely forgotten about and neglected. No offer of dessert or hot drinks once our main had been served. Food is fine. Nothing exceptional but my expectations aren’t high. I just want rural pubs to keep going so will continue to come. I rate this pub usually and come here often but was disappointed last night.

    The girls waiting on were friendly and a credit to the Woolpack The food seemed to take rather a long time before it arrived and our steaks, a medium and a rare were both a little overcooked and rather tough. A side order of flat mushroom consisted of one mushroom at £2.50. The side order of greens was perfectly adequate. The invoice arrived with the 'discretionary' tip already added on. A practice I dislike although the it could be taken off the bill on request. I doubt that I will go there again.
