About this restaurant

  • Great for scenic views
  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
Welcome to casual waterfront dining at its best. Yes, we have a stunning waterfront location overlooking the Currituck Sound, but our goal is to be a great restaurant that just happens to have a great view. From casual, familiar fare to elevated, creative originals, we offer something for everyone. Our menu includes crave-worthy appetizers, fresh salads, inspired sandwiches, creatively prepared local seafood, and scratch-made desserts. To complement our food, we serve local and international craft beers, an exceptional selection of wines, and craft cocktails that capture the essence of a seaside tavern. For a special occasion or a casual bite after a day at the beach, The Village Table & Tavern is THE gathering place for family and friends in Duck.

Great Oysters, followed by a great Tuna "Fish Sandwich". Fries were hot and salty, the beer was cool. And my Bride enjoyed a salad....

We ordered a hot appetizer that came our room temperature. Our entree also came out room temperature and when we asked to have it heated, I’d came back just as cold. A few minutes later the server brought the sauce for the dish. Apparently the folks in the kitchen forgot to put it on. It’s a shame because it’s an attractive restaurant and appears to be popular. We’ve been for lunch and it was fine. They’re not ready for dinner, however.

Amazing food, drinks, and service every time! The pear martini is the best!!! The restaurant is a bit dark at night so bring your phone for a flashlight to read the menu.

It was our first trip to the Outer Banks, and we went to the Village Table and Tavern for my wife's birthday. We had a wonderful server, a perfect table by the water, and we really enjoyed our meal. We shared the Chicken and Waffles appetizer. It was very good. The tenders were a little rubbery (probably because they were frozen); however, the breading on the tenders was INCREDIBLE and the maple syrup was fabulous. The waffles were also very good. So, an 8/10 there. Then, we split the Roasted Half Chicken with amazingly good mashed potatoes, and we subbed the green beans for the broccoli au gratin. The chicken was good, but the broccoli was out of this world. We ordered an additional side of it, just to have some more. So, a 10/10 on the entree and additional side of broccoli au gratin. My wife was tired, so we didn't do a dessert for her birthday. It was a great experience, and we will definitely return on our next trip to the OBX.
