    As a family we have visited the Unthank literally hundreds of times but it’s just lost its was a bit recently. We’re going to give it a bit of a break and hope that it improves.

    Very disappointing visit; for a 7pm sitting several items on small menu had run out, and no specials available. Food portions have diminished significantly recently. Super loud and clothes stunk of smoke by the time we left. Such a shame as we go regularly to the Unthank, team are lovely, but this really wasn’t great

    We were a party of 6. The soup was cold on top and just warm on the bottom. Not much taste either. We ordered 6 roasts, 4 chicken supreme, 1 beef and 1 All the meats. The beef was inedible, it was hard to cut and very chewy. Also, for £19 I expected more than a very small piece of beef that I couldn't eat. On the All the meats roast, they couldn't eat the beef either. And he didn't touch the vegetables. The vegetables were not hot and the cauliflower cheese was mushy. We mentioned the beef and the cauliflower cheese to the staff and they took my beef off the bill and 1 of the cauliflower dishes. The service was very good.

    We went early evening were treatedike royalty, enjoyed everything. Food arrived promptly, well cooked. First time here atmosphere lovely. A gem hide

    In many pubs, the Xmas lunch is not as good as the rest of the year but I was very happy with the quality of the Xmas lunch today. All 3 of my courses were very good and everyone at the table seemed happy too. My only suggestion would be to add a small piece of bread or toast with the salmon mousse.
