The Tree House in East Nashville is near to where we live, nearly walking distance. Excited to try out. Service was warm and on point. Upscale casual, non-diverse crowd. Cocktails were mediocre/lack luster and above compset for the area in pricing. The only salad on the menu “Winter greens”, was heavy on the water substance lettuce and not on a more green. The dressing was sweet to taste. More acid and not sweetness. The chick pea fries were good while the tazaki sauce was smattered all over the bottom of the plate. The chicken came out the same way. Smattered with sauce covering the plate that overwhelmed the protein. The chicken itself wasn’t brined and clearly thrown into the fryer. The bottom layer was black. Not baked etc. It was not fried chicken, the accompaniment broccoli was not salted and lacked flavor of a roasted vegetable. The Gnocchi was good and the only saving grace of this meal in a tree. Although the Gnochi was satisfying. It lacked flavor and spice. The atmosphere was crowded as the small dining room only sits 24. It was very load. The open kitchen concept doesn’t work here as you stuff a bar, full kitchen and dish pit in the small space. Instead of watching the food being prepared the view was of a dishwasher loading glass racks and someone clearly working the fryer. Okay place but $160 later, wouldn’t go back.

The reviews were great and the pictures looked like it was in an actual treehouse, so I thought ok let’s try it while visiting Nashville. It was nothing like the reviews. The food was ok not wow and definitely not out of this world. The atmosphere was nothing like a treehouse feeling. Place was warm, but small and tight. The noise level was very loud and voices echoed Throughout the restaurant. I had the halibut. It was fine because I was not in the mood to complain, but it had zero flavor. The steak tartare was probably the only thing that I enjoyed and had good flavor, but not enough to share and truly enjoy as an appetizer w others because plate and serving was so small. Most of the dishes lacked flavor. Service was great just not the food.

Phenomenal experience! Great food and service in a very comfy environment. We’re locals who share dining experiences with our besties and we call our brunch trips “destination unknown“ shhhhh! It’s a secret! because one couple (we take turns) picks a spot for brunch, unknown to the friends and pick them up- drive the other couple to the destination, with a selection of adult beverages (champagne and mixed cocktails in the back seat) but don’t worry…..The coordinating couple always has a designated- safe, non alcohol drinking driver! And this spot was such a gem, we all loved the food, cocktails and we’ll definitely return and highly recommend it!

Lovely experience at the treehouse! They really went above and beyond for my husband birthday brunch! The food and drinks were amazing too! Can’t wait to come back and sit on the patio in the summer.
