The Stravaig a contemporary kitchen & cocktail Bar with added function room within the kylestrome hotel. Serving up fresh local Scottish cuisine. In the heart of ayr town centre and private parking. With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

    I'd avoid the Ayrshire gammon; egg overcooked and only warm with look warm potatoes and veg. Had a side order of hot veg after complaining but the turnip was still bland and overcooked. Waitress was apologetic but it wasn't her fault. It was a quiet night so noo excuse really. Shame it was my 65th birthday.

    Lunch for Less menu makes the Stravaig even more worth a visit. Food and service excellent and plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options. We felt unhurried and were able to sit back and talk before leaving. Definitely recommended.

    My friends and I dined at Stravaig on Friday 21st March. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed every course we ate. One of us, who has travelled extensively and has eaten in many "top notch" establishments stated that the South Indian monkfish and King prawn butter curry was one of the best he has tasted. High praise indeed! The beef stroganoff and the dark chocolate delice were scrumptious. We will definitely be back!

    Had a lovely breakfast served by really friendly staff.It was delivered quickly and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.We had a mixture of Full Stravaig to a breakfast roll and a kids pancake breakfast.Portion sizes were excellent and we will definitely return.
