   Celebrated my birthday with family in one of the dining pods. Cosy and warm given it's February. Staff came regularly to see how things were and if we needed anything. They made it extra special with a fountain candle in my desert and sang happy birthday!!

   We booked a pod for 8 people the food was delicious and the portions just about right. We didn’t feel rushed and the staff were friendly and attentive. We will be back soon!

   We were very pleased with food - the waitress (sorry I forgot her name) was amazing. We had one of the pods and found it great for a good quiet chat with friends. The only grumble I have is the price for a glass of wine £11.50 ridiculous

   Absolutely delicious food. Wondered ambience. Staff were so kind, friendly and service level … just right. I had the salad which was top notch in taste and presentation. A true gem. Thank you. Would highly recommend and definitely will be visiting again.

   We were mainly looked after by Tabatha at front of house who was very attentive to our needs. We were a party of 8 celebrating an 80th Birthday. The food was delicious, hot and all served together. The pod was cosy and well presented. We will definitely return and would recommend to friends and relatives.

   I have visited the Sportsman on a few occasions and each time the service and the food are excellent. We have booked the pods a few times and if there is a group of you they are an excellent choice as it’s similar to having your own private dining room. I definitely recommend the Sportsman.

   Plenty of parking, nice open fires, lovely waitress,only the roast took 40mins to arrive, the lamb was chewy and the broccoli was hardly cooked at all, soft roast pots and Yorkshire pud. Not impressed for the price, won't be going back.
