   Seriously disappointed. Booked online for Sunday lunch on our anniversary. 2 x beef dinners with side of veg arrive, after they replaced a pork dinner as they brought the wrong order. Beef bland, tepid, Yorkshire pudding tasted of fridge! Cold. Filled with soggy, not crispy bits of parsnip, roast potatoes, carrots and parsnip under the meat, soggy and tepid. Side plate of peas, red cabbage and broccoli, bland.jug of tepid, non gravy, it was a jus, unseasoned. Bowl of !!! Cheesy.leeks, took a while to attempt.to separate as it was a claggy mess Ancient waitress, took plates asked if was OK,,, we said not great, she said lovely, great ,, !!! Best part of the meal was the mint at the end , overpriced and need a chef who can cook. Wasn't busy at all, now I know why. Raised this on leaving and was met with the look of you have no clue, let.them.know that it should be noted it was a special occasion, and the points above, just said they will tell the chef and they have a great reputation Nope AVOID NEVER AGAIN

   Lovely atmosphere, with great service. The food was amazing and the wine reccomendation was very good. We had a lovely meal and a fab stay. Will recommend to friends.

   My Wife and I have eaten at the Sawmills twice within a three day period. The food on both occasions was exceptional! The ambience and atmosphere were perfect. A very clean, well set out establishment. A fine selection of drinks. The staff were all extremely friendly, professional, and were more helpful than you usually get to see. There were all switched on, and knew about any question you would ask. We hope it stays as good in the future as it's been on these two occasions. The Chef was a master class! We will most certainly be returning in June 2025!

   Wow wow absolutely fantastic live local and just never had the Time to vist sawmills but so glad I did took my wife for a thank you for all her hard work over Christmas period will definitely be back again food was outstanding and was a lovely place all round thank you

   Me and my Son visit the area regularly, The Sawmills is our first port of call the quality of the food , the excellent staff and the ambiance never lets us down and if you visit you have to try the daily specials board it won’t cease to amaze you ❤️
