   We like the setting, the room, the service and the convenience of nearby neighborhood. The problem is the menu. Get more basic choices and improve the value. Get rid of the kale, bacon lardons, and the $55 steaks. Then we will come back.

   The atmosphere was good, the food was good. When sat down, we’re overwhelmed by several menus; drink , special, wine and food. The put bread down immediately, asked for drinks before got our coats off. We were simply rushed.

   We love going to The Royal Green! Everything about it is wonderful. The staff are very welcoming and professional. The food is superb, and the ambience is perfect. The restaurant is beautifully decorated which is so festive too!

   I typically write about the food after my dining experiences however, this is an exception to the norm. Anne Marie was our server and was the most professional, energetic, menu knowledgeable person that we EVER had the pleasure encountering in all of our USA dining experiences. I write this as a retired traveling association executive who has literally dined in thousands of restaurants throughout the country. Anne Marie paved the way for a fabulous dinner which included a delicious beet salad and a really hard to beat barrel cut filet mignon. The RG is truly a hidden gem where you dine in a private house which has a “I feel like I’m dining in someone’s really nice house” vibe. It is also located right next door (one minute walk) to fantastic/professional live theater venues. All this combined gives you an experience you won’t soon forget.

   This is the second time we have dined at the Royal Green. We went on a Sunday evening and took advantage of their prefix menu. It offered a nice variety of appetizers, main meal and deserts for a more than reasonable price. Ann Marie was our server both times and was very attentive and was able to accurately describe dishes when asked. The young bartender made a delicious Cosmopolitan!! Clam Chowder for an appetizer was one of the best I've ever had. Petite Filet Mignon was done to perfection. Desserts were a perfect size to complete the meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

    What a pleasure to finally dine at RG! Charming club atmosphere, easy background music, wonderfully pleasant and attentive staff and one dish was more delicious than the last!! Thank you and we will be back soon!
