Lovely evening ,excellent table service. Disappointed no appropriate sauces for the meals and would have been better to have the curry served with poppadoms/naan bread. All food was tasty and gd portions.

Excellent food and service. Traybakes to take away if you fancy dessert but can’t manage one.

We were late due to a road accident at slyne which I explained on arrival. The young blonde waitress was so lovely. She took our drinks order immediately so we ‘could relax.’ Very calming and welcoming. Chips & Cheese pie very tasty. Special thanks to waitress

The food took a while to arrive at our table but apologies were given and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. Lovely desserts as well, especially the chocolate torte.

Great food as usual. Only complaint was very noisy group at next table. Whilst we were away from our table person on next table took my chair despite it having my coat & scarf on it. Person had obviously had a lot to drink, would ve a good idea to keep an eye on guests when band playing. We left after this.

I opted for the Venison and it was tough, chewy and slightly on the blue side. It didnt come with what is stated on menu. The jus was wishy washy watery, bland and no flavour. The parsnip puree was like a mash potato far too much a puree is a tiny amount on plate. The blackberries were nice. The monkfish skewers tasty to a degree but a tad under. Needed alot more spice/flavour. Overall an average meal but not spectular. Still felt hungry afterwards. Service not the best the place has seriously gone down hill. And Jason has alienated the locals a massive no no locals keep pubs going not random people. Shame the Royal used to be a heart of the community and a regular for me and my Family sad how it has gone. It's Bolton le sands not a posh area.
