   We dine at the mansion fairly often and the food is always superb. Today I decided to try something different since I usually get the beet salad and avocado toast or soup, etc. Today, I ask this server about the spaghetti. I was interested in it because of the description of the chili. Being a Texan, chili indicates meat to me. I would never choose a dish with no protein. When my dish came after two bites, I asked the server about the chili. He kind of chuckled and said no it was not meat. I looked at him. He did not offered to get me another dish. he came back and asked how my dish was and I said… It’s just spaghetti and told him I didn’t like it at this point I feel like he should’ve offered to get me another dish. Any upscale Restaurant will do this when they see the customer is disappointed. Honestly, this dish was about the same flavor as I make it home, except I have a protein in it. My husband had the chicken and it was the quality you expect at the Mansion with perfect flavors that blended together. Absolutely delicious.

   This review is for a tea service. The experience was overall very pleasant. It is a more traditional style tea where each guest selects one tea to enjoy throughout the service. Modern interpretations match a recommended tea to each course. That being said, one person in our party did discover a lover for the lychee black tea. We enjoyed ourselves and will go back.

   Came for Sunday brunch while visiting Dallas. Wonderful menu. A terrific server. And a very elegant ans relaxing noon hour. Highly recommend.

   We went for our 7th Anniversary dinner, the drinks were outstanding, as is the wine selection. Unfortunately the entrees left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered the filet, medium-well. Sadly, we had to send it back three times as they could not get the cook temperature correct, it was blood red pink every time they brought it out, when she specifically asked for no pink. Come the third try, it was finally cooked properly, but sadly completely dry from the previous attempts at correcting it. I was surprised when the final bill came that they were trying to charge us for the steak they couldn’t get right. We did ask if they were going to keep the charge on there, and then they made it right by removing the charge. We have had stellar experiences here in the past, with world-class service and meals, I never thought they would ever drop the ball on something like this.. I will also mention, of you are celebrating a special occasion, make sure you ask for the main dining room. We have always been seated there in the past so we didn’t know other seating existed. We were sat in a side room, with a direct view of back of house. Definitely was not the most romantic spot when drinking very expensive wine..

   Fantastic experience overall. Food was exquisite, thoughtful and well composed. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better meal. Drink selection didn’t feel as up to par as the food menu. Basic options. Bathroom is up an entire flight of winding stairs which is fine, but be cautious in heels. They were out of toilet paper, so that felt overlooked. Bar with live music ramped up toward the end of our dinner but wasn’t overly loud and soundly lively as we were exiting.
