Like everything else at The Rock Inn, our restaurant is built upon reputation. Our numerous eating areas throughout the building provide an intimate, yet friendly atmosphere for your meal. The restaurant is open to all, however we do get very busy so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
All meals are prepared by our resident, qualified chefs who, through their culinary art, produce imaginative and varied dishes, utilising freshly caught fish, locally sourced meat and game, and locally grown produce.
The Rock Inn has received an AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence every year since 1996 and has now been awarded 2AA Rosettes for the first time in 2016.

lovely pub, but very limited vegetarian dishes. sat in the conservatory where the doors were open so nice breeze on a hot evening. very loud clock which chimed every 15 mins which spoilt the evening.

Made a point of stopping off here on the way to Tavistock from Bristol with my elderly parents (87 and 89) and did not regret it. Extremely accommodating, patient, helpful staff and remarkably calm atmosphere despite full pub.

The Rock Inn was a lovely place to take my husband for his birthday lunch. We were accompanied by our friend from USA who absolutely loved it. We had a good table by the window and the guy behind the bar and the waiting staff were vey nice and efficient. Varied menu to choose from although less choice than the weekday menu as the emphasis is on Sunday lunch. Beautifully presented and delicious food, if I had one tiny criticism, it would be that the risotto I had was a little salty. Good portion sizes. The dessert my friend had was totally delicious and looked exquisite on the plate. The coffee was excellent too which is an all too rare thing these days unfortunately. Not cheap, but all in all, pretty good value and lovely for a special treat.
