   Our food was over a HR late to arrive . customer's who arrived after us were getting their orders of food before us .it wasn't busy so assume they forgot about us .spoilt the night for me and my young son .very disappointing.

   Lovely country pub with large menu choice. Staff were great and food was delicious. Very good value.

   The ticket machine broke so our food didn’t get sent to the kitchen staff - it took an hour for anyone to notice it but waitress did really apologise and offered us a free drink which was great. When the food came, the one meal wasn’t plain as requested so it was sent back but then it came back missing something else so ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes for the food to come. Overall, good experience but a shame that a few negative things happened.

   Four of us dined, three of us had the Cajun Salmon which was excellent and one had the Mussels in garlic & cream sauce which was also first class. We had a little wait which means that the food was freshly cooked. Everything was served piping hot. We also had a side of 1 garlic bread, drinks were one pint of Wye Valley Ale, I pint of Guiness Zero and two large glasses of Malbec. The bill was around £100 which was average for what amounted to gastro pub food. Will use again and no problem in recommending.

    A delicious Christmas lunch in a warm, inviting and enjoyable setting. Friendly and attentive staff. The Rock and Fountain never fails to impress. Looking forward to our next visit!
