We reserved a table for Christmas Buffet. 2:30 reservation and arrived at 2:25. Told it would be 2:40 before we were seated. Left a cell number grabbed a glass of wine and walked around. At 3:00pm returned as we had not received a text. Waited 10 more minutes. Server arrived at our table at 3:15. Nice, personable and explained where the various stations were. We had a salad and some cheeses. Relaxed, chatted and headed back for a plate of a few items. (Didn’t pile it on, just a sample of 3 or 4 things.) At about 4:05 our waiter ask us if we wanted any more brunch items. I said you mean like breakfast foods, eggs, waffles? He said yes. We said no, we are going to grab a little pasta in a few minutes and then some dessert. At 4:15 we went to do just that, leaving our wine and jackets at the table. ALL the food was gone! I found the captain or the man wearing a suit who appeared to be in charge, explained the situation, said our server should have informed us, turned and walked away quickly. We returned to our table and found it cleared and our wine was gone too. I grabbed our jackets m, found our server, gave him a $100 bill and said “This is for you. I am not going to penalize you or the other servers but I cannot believe we were expected to rush through a meal and not even been told. If they want to talk to me, they have my number.” We left and I have not heard a peep. I have been to many Ritz’s including this one in the past. This was not even close to what you expect. I am a local and we have to many other choices to visit here again.

The service was very slow and often absent. There was a mandatory large tip for terrible service. The food seemed old. Prepared ahead and stored poorly. There was a fly buzzing around our table. It’s a tea. They had only a few tea choices. The tea pots were poorly designed. They dripped every time a cup was poured. The Ritz has a reputation of good service. I’d like to know where it was. A bar tender was rude when we asked a question. Will never go back to the Ritz Rancho Mirage.

I think the $49.00 service charge was unnecessary. I would rather include that money in the tip

I had high expectations for Thanksgiving dinner at this property, but unfortunately, it fell short. The food was mediocre at best, and the ambiance of the ballroom felt like a poorly executed wedding reception. Adding to the disappointment, a 27% service fee for what was essentially a self-service buffet seemed excessive. While the property itself remains stunning, the level of service that used to set The Ritz-Carlton apart has clearly declined. For the price, this experience was underwhelming and disappointing.

We had a lovely lunch with a nice glass of wine. We sat outside with the pool off in the distance, but not loud at all. Many places to sit and have a nice view if you can't get outside dining at the restaurant area; the bar area inside is lovely to eat at, and the outdoor bar area also looked like. Nice option to dine at

As stated in an earlier review, when you are eating towards the end of the day for the buffet, some of the food items are dried out and not as tasty as earlier in the day. For the money, the food was not worth it. However, the service was excellent.

It was a nice buffet, but $150 per person just strikes me as steep. When I made the reservation I mistakenly thought the cost was $85 per person. Knowing what I know now, I would not have booked the reservation.

Don't waste your money on average food, in a large plain banquet room, no service except when first sat down and waiter?? explained where various food locations were, all spread over a very large area. Never told us of complimentary champagne which was terrible in retrospect. Carver could barely cut Prime Rib and I needed steak knife to cut at all with also being almost cold. Some salads were very good but that is all I could give any recommendation for, like eating at a Red Robin or something like that. Extremely expensive even though knew would be very pricey and had no complaints if there would have been any service or a wonderful dining experience. Men that were supposed to be waiters extremely lacking in any service whatsoever. All food AVERAGE at best. NOOO!!! Experience interesting!!!!!!!
