    This restaurant is definitely new and dealing with issues related to getting started. Value overall definitely low. Food not as advertised (rack of lamb was not a rack of lamb), undercooked, and took a long time to receive. Also not very good sharing appetizers or bread options. Server seemed a bit put out when we asked for things or expressed our dissatisfaction. Has potential but management and chefs need to make some big improvements. For the price, the ambience was not that special at all. There are lots of other options in Fredericksburg so would recommend looking elsewhere for a while.

    Excellent service in a modern nice new hotel. Food good but not great but portions were small especially for the steep price. Drinks very good but fairly small and over priced.

    Maybe not ready for prime time? Staff struggled to explain some of the food and cocktails. Place has hotel lobby vibe. Tables were being cleared for the night while we still had plates (about 8:30). Food was interesting but not remarkable.

    This is an incredible gem of a restaurant in tiny Fredericksburg! A true Michelin rated chef with a challenging menu as well! We tried the Lamb Tartare…I have never had this before and it was absolutely amazing! The raw tuna was sublime! My husband had the duck and he said it was delicious. I had the snapper and it was superb! The pavlova was one of the best desserts I have ever had and I make my own! My husband had the panna cotta and he loved it! I am so glad we found this gem while visiting Fredericksburg, and we will definitely promote it. I can’t wait to return!

    The Restaurant at Albert was phenomenal! My husband got the duck and it was exquisite!! The Albert hotel is also very nice and new! Great location, right off Main Street! 10/10 recommend!!

    First time at the restaurant and I expected more from the decor and ambiance. Feels like a breakfast or lunch spot not a fine dining experience. Apps were very good and my duck entree was good but fussy. My wife had the wagyu ribeye. She ordered it MR but it came out M to MW. The temp was bad enough but what was worse was this 10 oz steak was no more than 1/4- inches thick! No wonder it was overcooked. Service was good but maybe they tried too hard.

    We dined on Valentine Day when a lot of restaurants face the challenges of customer volume. Not at Albert. Every team member, from the valet to the the hostess to the waiter were on their game. The chef served great presentations in a very timely manner. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Fredericksburg!

    Breakfast was very good. We had scrambled eggs and sausage. Very good. The biscuit and muffin was fantastic. Service was very attentive and friendly.

    Michelin level chef refuses to make any changes to the menu item..except “then leave Brussel Sprouts off the plate and order a costly starter course as a substitute.” My husband ordered the ribeye steak which comes with Brussel sprouts. He hates them. Chef is “married to the menu” and will make no changes. Waiter suggested we leave them off and order the creamed rice at a charge of $12 as a modification. The steak was already $65. And….his steak arrived cold. Kitchen prepared him another but it came as I was ending my meal Sorry….but will not be back. I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants and have never had a chef refuses to make any changes. Normally they take it as a fun challenge.
