We had a table for 2 no one else by us. I enjoyed my starter of charred Leeks. Delicious. Our mains came, beef and lamb were chewy. Sprouts were hard, Carrots were tasty. Gravy watery. Yorkshire and roast were gorgeous. Cauliflower cheese was good. Pudding was small. Creme Brulle. The service was lovely to start with, then it felt like we were rushed from then on. Tried taking plates when we hadnt finished. Drinks too. Bill was given straight after dessert. Wasn't asked if we wanted tea or coffee. Not very good.

Great country pub. Impressed that they could serve us a roast at short notice. Only issue was they gave us a giant plate for a toddler in a high chair and it was a wee bit cold where we were sat.

Really friendly staff, in a beautiful newly refurbished old village pub. The Sunday roasts are fantastic - probably the best I have ever had in a pub. Keep up the excellent work - I would highly recommend this little gem!

Lovely pub. Although the menu is quite limited the food is interesting and well cooked. Very efficient and friendly staff. Nice interior and decor but needed more heating. Highly recommended

Sunday roast with all the trimmings was excellent. Service was very efficient except two of our deserts were forgotten. The Red Lion was most apologetic however and corrected their mistake free of charge. Overall very good and we will go back.

Good welcome . comfortable seating options Staff were very friendly and helpful . Lovely fresh fish and chips . Fairly quiet for a Saturday evening but it was late September! Food well cooked and fresh . 4 options under mains and Pudding . Two meat one fish and one vegetable option . Price a little higher than paid elsewhere for food of similar quality . But overall a pleasant experience
