   Great experience dining at The Pump House! Our server was great and very informative about the menu. He also made our visit enjoyable with his pleasant and humorous demeanor. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing!

   The view is lovely ! The wine list extraordinary. The shripm and grits were excellent and our server Matthew was very personable and efficient.

   Chloe was absolutely fantastic. We wanted to hire her and have her relocate to NJ!!! Food was also amazing. Best we've had in the Fort Mill area all year. If you go ask for Chloe!!!!

   This was not our first visit for dinner to The Pump House.  If it was, good chance we wouldn’t be returning. We made a reservation to celebrate my mom’s 79th birthday.  We were initially seated outside, which is usually just fine, but she was cold (despite the heaters).  We asked to be moved inside, and they proceeded to send us upstairs to the bar (where it was actually colder).  The setting wasn’t the best for her, but we managed; I do feel they should have told us that was the only option.  Next we ordered drinks.  There were four of us, and we discussed the drinks a bit with the server.  When she came back with them a few minutes later, she had no idea who had which drink.  Further, we ordered two Old Fashioneds; neither was garnished in any way.  Strange.  Dinner was fine, although my mom’s pork chop was a bit tough and my filet mignon was just ok.  For the price, it should be better than just ok.  We were not offered a dessert menu, but instead a piece of cheesecake was brought out to my mom with a candle.  It was covered with berries and a red sauce.  She is allergic to strawberries.  No one asked us anything about the dessert, it was just set it in front of her by someone who was not our server.  So we asked if they could possibly swap it for a plain piece of cheesecake, which they did.  They brought us 4 spoons, and nothing further.  When it was time to pay the bill, the server asked if we wanted separate checks, and then proceeded to tell us the total bill and ask for a card.  We were not given the itemized receipt until after we paid.  Turns out, they charged us for the “birthday cheesecake” that we didn’t order, which I found odd. (We had just celebrated a birthday at a different restaurant, and the waiter asked quietly at the beginning of the meal which dessert we would like him to bring for the birthday girl, complimentary of course.)      Overall, the food was good, but the service was not good at all.  The atmosphere was just ok.  Very disappointing.

   Advance notification that we we’re celebrating my daughter’s engagement fell on deaf ears. My filet, ordered rare, was delivered medium to well done. A substitute was prepared and was delivered when others were halfway through their meal. Our server was charming and delightful.

   The Pump House has a new menu and it is so much better than the previous one. We had stopped dining there because there really wasn't anything on the menu that sounded good.

   I was very impressed from the greeting to the seating. Food was of exceptional quality. Service was great and timely. The cornbread with peach butter was awesome and a great start to a meal. We had fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese as an appetizer, crispy and delicious. I had the scallop dish with fingerling potatoes, peas and baby arugula (butternut squash purée is awesome). My wife had the Carolina mixed salad and added grilled chicken, nothing left! Overall a good dining experience! Everyone should try it. Enjoy!

   Zoe, Robbie, Chef Rogger and staff are the best and we love attending wine dinners at The Pump House.
