The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

This wouldn't be considered a romantic anything. The fact they had tours occurring while people were dining was crazy. With the weather being cold, for them to have small ceramic heaters posted that didn't even do the job was a buzzkill. The steeple on their menu was supposed to be the pecan honey fried chicken. The chicken wasn't seasoned, no crunch factor to it. Just a drizzle of honey and a bunch of chopped up pecans. The sweet tea was the worst sweet tea there is, my wife's fish was ok, but the server didn't explain that it came with lumped crab instead of a crab cake which is what we saw on the menu. The lumped crab was a small portion that lacked flavor and a fresh taste to it. It seemed like it was more imitation. The only thing worth bragging about was the cornbread that was brought to the table. Another buzzkill is that they don't do Military discounts. You'd think with this being a military town with Hunter Army Airfield and not so far away in Hinesville with Ft Stewart, they'd honor servicemembers and vets, but nope. Prices are egregious not worth the amount of food you get. I will say that was our first and last time eating there. There are a ton of places way better than the pirates house.

The place was really cool, and our server did a great job. The food was ok, but not for the price point. My side items (broccolini & mashed sweet potatoes) were cold and were not seasoned well.

Slow service, food not cooked as requested and had the be sent back. Asked from onion, which was to come on original order, and was brought one ring. When order was brought as requested, was informed they adjusted the bill so I would need be charge for two orders. Shouldn’t that be the case, since the order was incorrectly prepared. Requested additional mayonnaise, never received. I definitely would need go there again.

The server was very friendly. The food however was mediocre quality, at best. We had bugs all over our food. When I pointed it out to the server, he stated oh the nats are at it again. It was very disappointing to spend so much money, for what was supposed to be an enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner, to have nats all over your food. Flying in your face and nose. I would not recommend eating your Thanksgiving dinner here. Very disappointing.

We had no idea what to expect, but what a great Thanksgiving Day buffet! I'm surprised they don't mention this on their website. Our server, Allie, was so friendly. All the staff did a great job. The food went above and beyond, we really enjoyed every bite! Worth the $$$$.

We enjoyed learning about the history of the restaurant and the location is convenient. We were seated in a room that had too bright lighting over the central table but no lighting at our table. That made it challenging to look up at our waiter and hard to read our menu. Food was flavorful with many dishes of interest to us.
