The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

Upscale fast food. Price point exceeds value or quality of food.

I was so excited to eat at The Pirate House. The history of the building alone was fascinating, but the food and our waiter were awesome also! Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed all the parts of our meal. The orange marmalade was a nice surprise with our dinner bread (biscuits and corn bread). Friendly service. A good family place to eat in Savannah.

The food was okay, nothing spectacular, but overpriced. There was nothing special about the experience, i.e. no pirates. When I made the reservation I was asked if it was a special occasion like a birthday, and I indicated that it was. There was nothing special acknowledgement of that from any staff member.

We took our son for lunch during our trip to Savannah. He really enjoyed the history coupled with the fun touches (pirate hat made from the menu and pirate drinks).

The history of the location is interesting and you can read about the restaurant on the place setting on the table. The building and restaurant itself lend to that history and the feel of dining at a location where some colorful patrons have been. Food was not to my liking. Nothing bad, just many fried food options. My daughter had the seafood platter. It’s a large plate so beware! The waiter seemed more excited to tell us about his realtor adventurers than about the restaurant, as travelers. He was nice, just very talkative about real estate. The location is just outside of the well-lit district area. Ladies, go in groups. Nothing bad happened to my family but I old not be ok sending my wife and daughter alone as it is dark along the way at night. Fun place to try once but don’t think we’ll be returning. It’s not a dinner and show type place. No costumes or special accents. The location itself has the history and that’s what you’re paying for.

5 stars for experience, my boys loved it!! The kids menus are pirate hats. Fun history of Savannah. I wasn’t expecting much from the food, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Great vacay spot.

We had the lunch buffet and the chicken was dry. Ribs, collard greens, and green beans were delicious. Cool building and history.
