Sadly, the arrangements for the Carvery lunch were completely disorganised. There is no easy ‘flow’ for customers to access the Carvery and return to their tables. The staff seem very friendly but are frustrated that there is a ‘pinch point’ around the Carvery station. There are two different sizes of Carvery and tickets are issued to customers according to what size of meal is required. I would suggest the meal tickets are not issued by the staff until that table is due to be served, this would reduce a big queue forming and would enable the staff to keep control of the dining room.

It was lovely to visit the Penruddocke after so many years. The food and staff were excellent, but the decor was basic - because the owners have clearly taken over and are rebuilding the business - something that we like to support as so many rural pubs/inns have disappeared this days. We were certainly made to feel special and were amply rewarded for travelling there. Thank you.

A bit disappointed because we didn't get the carvery but the roast they gave us was lovely so it didn't really matter. Loads of meat and veg. It was quite quiet as we had a late booking but the staff were great.

Staff ,excellent. The food was not hot enough and needed hot plates to serve. Overall a good effort as new management. The bar looked clean and the dining room. Let down by the exterior,not appealing if you were driving by ,but hoping they will get there soon. Family and dog friendly!

Great carvery ample meat and veg (plates were cold) beef was VERY rare not for the faint hearted. Great dessert menu Observation: the pub felt cold Will be coming again keep up the good work

We had a nice Sunday Roast. There was a tasty selection of meats on offer and the trimmings were all there including pork crackling!
