   Staff were very friendly and accommodating, they honoured our booking even though they had changed their opening days for the winter. We found the afternoon tea to be enjoyable but slightly expensive for the quality, but this would not deter us returning.

   I was very disappointed with the afternoon tea I had booked for my husband’s birthday. I had notified the hotel I was gluten free and realise this can be challenging to cater for However, I had to send back the cake section which had two crackers on as a substitute for a cake And a tired looking chocolate brownie! The waitress was lovely and did get it replaced with alternative gf cakes, apparently the ‘Chef’ Didn’t know where the gluten free cakes were kept! The sandwiches were dreadful , one had cheese slice in with nothing else , they were thrown together. I only ate one scone , it was rock hard. The worst Afternoon Tea I have ever had !

   Food, drink and service outstanding. But There were crumbs on my seat and around the floor when I went to the table. The carpet and chairs need a really good clean or replaced. Plaster was coming off the wall and laying on the carpet.

   Afternoon tea was amazing value for money. Our waitresses were both lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our Anniversary celebration was extra special. Thank you.

   The afternoon tea was lovely, with a traditional range of sandwiches, scones and cakes etc. The service was very good. The restaurant was very quiet as there were few customers. The staff were professional. They left us in peace to enjoy our tea, whilst being quietly attentive. The setting is beautiful, the house is grand but maybe some aspects of the environment and decor are becoming a little worn.

   I asked a colleague for a good place for afternoon tea. She recommended Broome Park Club and Hotel. I’m so glad I took her up on her recommendation. Great place, great food, great service and a lovely ambiance. Will definitely return.

   We've been visiting Broome Park and the Peacock restaurant for many years but sadly our visit this time to the restaurant was disappointing. The setting is beautiful, the refurbished restaurant, elegant but due to serious lack of staff, service was poor. The lovely lady who did serve us was trying her best to multi task. The kitchen had 2 chefs but it took over an hour to get our starters and same again for mains. The staff were apologetic about the delays saying they were short staffed but the tone of the delivery implied they say this a lot. On a positive, the food was good when it arrived, but we never had dessert as we'd have been there another hour! The staff are doing their best but if the management want to uphold the reputation of the place they need to recruit & train more staff.

   Starters I had the goats cheese mousse which was fantastic & pork for mains.they had decorated our table for our anniversary & made the whole experience feel special.

    The food was disappointing - nice presentation, but lacking in flavour. The white wine was not chilled enough and the espresso coffee was served in too big a cup and cold. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the overall service was very good. The restaurant was lovely, with a very nice ambience and view of the beautiful gardens. We didn't visit the bar, so cannot comment on that.
