Our lovely open-plan restaurant has traditional oak-beams and contemporary furnishings with a harmonious and relaxing ambience. The perfect setting for you to enjoy a romantic dinner, family celebration or night out with friends.
Our Head Chef and his brigade are passionate about food. Every dish on the frequently changing menu is freshly prepared from the finest ingredients – locally sourced wherever possible.
Norfolk is rich in great produce and our kitchen’s philosophy is based on seasonality, provenance and flavour. Game, fish, meat and vegetables are chosen with care daily. We have a close relationship with the finest suppliers in the county and they know that we insist on buying the best. We don’t do run-of-the-mill at The Parson but we do believe in offering great food cooked with passion and flair.

Booked for a birthday. Food was great and plentiful. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Waiter recommended the monkfish Thai curry which was thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended.

Everyone in the party enjoyed their meal, lovely food, plenty of choices. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Probably my favorite place to eat.

A warm welcome. A nice cosy fire, but wondered why we were stuck in a corner near the door when there was a table free in front of it? Drinks arrived in a timely fashion but I feel £1.50 for a dash of coke is excessive. My starter was very nice but once again my wife's choice of the duck was not available. Probably best to remove it from the menu or explain it is not available when handing the menus out. My wife enjoyed her main. I was disappointed with my Haddock, chips and peas. The fish did not seem very fresh and the two tea spoons of peas is very tight. More peas and less chips may be an answer, if they want to keep costs down. The sweets were both very nice. The menu is very expansive, so we may return at a future date.

The cheese soufflé was as good as I’ve had anywhere and I’ve had a few! We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch

Absolutely lovely good great service my only little niggle was that children were running about in the restaurant. Apart from that we loved it

We had a lovely meal on Xmas Eve. The game pie was delicious with a good selection of vegetables. The only negative was they forgot to bring our sharing starter. It wasn’t a problem as the main meal came quickly. It would be nice to be brought or offered water without having to ask too. The waiter was very pleasant and apologetic about the missing starter. Would recommend.

We dined at the Parson Woodforde tonight we have been before and rated it highly, unfortunately on this occasion it was not up to their normal standard, my friend had Monkfish, it was only partially cooked, it was replaced and the bill at the end of the evening was reduced but I felt let down by the experience.

Busy staff at bar acknowledged and sorted us quickly, and were efficient and personable throughout. The food was tasty and well cooked. Nibbles generous. Starters, lovely and mains v.good Tender rare venison and a very good game pie, thin walled pastry and right amount of sauce within. Didn't have dessert as too full up. Good selection of beers. Abbott was very good. Will come again. With friends.

My wife’s soufflé had collapsed pre arrival into a cheese pot and contained a sliver of plastic as from a container. Therefore returned and suggestion that she consumed it with plastic removed declined. My chicken dish was supposed to come with a sauce in a small jug but jug empty except for dried up remnants of something that appeared to have spent too long in a microwave. Having said all that we did enjoy a wonderful meal here a few months ago and will certainly give your restaurant another try before too long.
