The food was delicious. However--the waiter came back after we ordered to inform us that they were out of gnocchi that two of us had ordered (this was at 5:30 pm so kind of curious??). We asked to see menus so they could choose something else. He never brought the menus--we finally got them from the bread/water person. Then we had to flag the waiter down again to place the new order. One suggestion is to turn the lights down in the large room where we were seated. It was so bright in there, it was uncomfortable. And it got very loud when it filled up. So even though we enjoyed our meals, the entire experience was not the best.

The food and service are always excellent. Parking can be challenging since the city of Alameda messed up Clement Ave, but there is a parking lot if you can get a spot in it.

The calamari were unusually tough this time. I was surprised since previously, they were perfect. Otherwise, everyone had an enjoyable meal. Laurence was very amiable.

I had two new items on the menu - the sausage and gnocchi entree and the carrot cake both were delicious. The service was excellent, as always.

This night, we opted to sit and dine at the bar. The bartender was accommodating and friendly. This was our second time eating at the bar. Unlike the first time, this night had a small group of very loud local patrons. It was hard to totally enjoy the eating experience because the loud conversations bordered on "salty" and "colorful". However, the food was great and these loud patrons were clearly having fun. In short, this is why we like "the Park" it is real and very Alameda. A little loud, but we didn't go there for romantic ambiance. A good time.

This place feels like it was the original Cheers Tavern. Within three minutes of being there, we felt as if we were regulars, and we’ve never been there before. We were greeted by Alex, one of the owners. Super friendly. But appropriately so. Also met Paula, the “mayor” of the PST. What a doll! The food was great. It’s not fair to give it a five because it’s not outstanding, but it is certainly a 4+. two of us had the spaghetti, one V beef stroganoff, and the other orzo salmon. Everyone liked what they got. We started with a spanakopita appetizer that was excellent. We had started with drinks that worked for everyone. When it was time for dessert, Polly came over to the table and began chatting with us. before you know it, Alex appears with chocolate martinis. I’ve never had one before. It was excellent! One of the nice things about this restaurant is it is a “good old place“. It doesn’t feel like one of these cookie cutter, trendy restaurants where each one is trying to out to the other as to how slick they look and how, the food is. At PST. Everything was straightforward and either of Greek or Italian flavor. We will definitely go back.
