Best carvery I’ve had for a long time Lovely welcoming staff and a nice warm restaurant My only gripe which has put me off a bit and we all commented on was the awful drainage smell in the ladies toilet (this was at beginning of our meal and at the end so was clearly an ongoing issue ) . This really needs sorting out - shame as was so lovely

Attended on a busy Sunday lunchtime and did have to wait 15 minutes for our table. However, we had a cheeky drink in the bar and waited to be called in. Lovely food and really reasonable for a Sunday

Booked a table for 12 arrived ten mins early all locked up young girl waitress opened the door at 12 but chairs were left blocking steps up to the entrance our table was boxed in with other families felt too intrusive and on top of each other food was nice could have been doing with being a tad warmer plates were haded to you on a round tray that were wet underneath which felt a bit gross …pub looked a bit tired and in need of a renovation good price at £14 per head but staff all seemed a bit glum ate our food and left pretty much straight after lacked some ambiance and a smile or two from the staff.

We dined here recently having been a few times before usually for special occasions I have to say this time was not as good as previous visits that’s not to say it was bad far from it but the food wasn’t especially hot and the service was not as good as previous visits and it wasn’t in my opinion all that busy at the time we visited

Our go too place for a carvery, it's a 20 mile round trip but worth it. Always good food and service. Going again next week.
