About this restaurant

  • Neighborhood gem
  • Charming
  • Good for special occasions
The Marshal is an intimate neighborhood gem. Sustainability is paramount to us. Chef Charlie focuses on wood fired cuisine featuring seasonal ingredients from local farmers, wineries & distilleries. The Marshal serves brunch on the weekends, dinner every day of the week & lunch on all weekdays, featuring both indoor & outdoor seating.

The menus change frequently, depending on seasonal items that are available. Come enjoy our goat cheese & herb stuffed chicken breast, wood-oven braised local short ribs, sustainably caught cod in a lemongrass coulis, or our variety of seasonal wood fired pizzas baked in our 800 degree wood fired oven.

The Marshal features a full bar with an extensive cocktail, liquor and wine list.

The Marshal is only blocks from Times Square, within walking distance of all major Broadway theaters, the Intrepid, Manhattan Cruise Terminal, and all major Times Square hotels.

You'll find us written up in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and many others.

Nice spot and cool vibe. While I don’t like being constantly checked on this was the opposite. The wait staff just needs to find a balance between too pushy and too lackadaisical.

It’s over priced. Nice environment but nothing to write home about. That goes for the food too. The waiter was told the wine was not so good, it started out kind by offering another type but it was not considered to ask if the other option was okay. Not even offering a taste. He just brought it and walked away. Lamb shank too sweet. Short rib dry. Red sauce super sweet. Blueberry crumble was like eating just pie filling - poor ratio.

A tight fit to be sure, but you are surrounded by good people enjoying very good food -- a culinary camaraderie is formed. The smiling and pleasant front-of-the-house folks keep the ball rolling without rushing, and they are at your bid and call. The kitchen masters turn out a variety of tasteful and well-cooked dishes. Here's the winning formula: Sunday brunch at noon, deviled eggs appetizer, short-rib eggs Benedict on homemade biscuits, leisurely walk to any theater on Broadway, two tickets to a show (Operation Mincemeat, if you are lucky).
