   Ambiance was amazing. Loved the look of the place. Really want to come back and sit at that bar! Everything we ate was delicious. We had the carrots, tagliatelle, grilled oysters, steak tartare, and bone marrow and every dish was so good. I was surprised to see this place so empty on a Saturday night. Definitely one of the better restaurants in Austin. Word needs to get out!!

   Crudo was amazing! Oysters were good; however, you are only served 4 per order. Something was off about the taste of the gnocchi. Churro Donuts are good; however, I am not a fan of the coffee ice cream.

   I absolutely enjoyed The Kitchen’s staff members energy, and the delightful dishes the chefs had prepared for my friend and I. They made our birthday experience outstandingly beautiful! 10/10, definitely recommend.

   Upscale modern design that is still trying to get its legs. Food and drinks try to stand out and be innovated, but fails to surprise. That is not to say it is bad, but merely gives a feeling of not bad.

   Beautiful restaurant, staff working on a few things but very polite and friendly. Mussels were good with a lot of Asian spice but needed a few more mussels, the Duck Confit Tagliatelle had Asian noodles, was good, although short on duck for a $38.50 medium size dish, good but with Asian twist again…American Bistro? No bread with the mussels had to order some, another way restaurants now get you for $ add ons that should come with a dish, cocktails standard price for downtown Austin. Wine list way to expensive, only 1 Rosa at $50 price point, everything else way to high, need a few sparking, reds and whites around $50 bottle. Will not be on our restaurant rotation.

   Such a nice experience start to finish. Inventive dishes, unique flavors, beautiful presentation and phenomenal service. Could not have been more impressed especially since they just opened. Excellent wine list! We’ll be back. Items we ordered- first the hits: Scallops: light and beautiful. Celery was an austere and delicate match. Really loved but there were three and we were four so should have ordered two. Friend said they were the best scallops he’s had. Cauliflower: Big hit! So good. Crispy and served with fries garbanzo beans and Indian spices. Really good- highly recommend. Key lime semifreddo: Every bite was perfect! Texture, flavors, tart and sweet. Remarkable. Burrata: I know. Cliche, right? But the flavors it was paired with were so inventive and surprising! Sourdough ciabatta buttered within an inch of its life was the perfect vehicle and the mint and apple butter were almost shocking with how well they tied it all together. The pretty dang good: Gnocchi: Airy pillows with a very savory bolognese. Nice. NY Strip: This was pretty good. Mango salsa and tiny pico were fresh additions but don’t think I’d get this one again. Should have gone with server’s recommendation of the pork chop. Churro donuts: kid went nuts for these! Served with a coffee caramel ice cream that was lovely. The just ok: Tagliatelle with duck confit: Nothing was “wrong.” Confit duck was good and pasta was cooked well just it needed something- salt or perhaps some kind of acid to offset the fatty mouthfeel of the duck. Some herb? Some sauce? I don’t know. Maybe the other dishes with such incredible mixes of flavors set the bar too high but this one was just kind of flat. We got a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State but the entire wine list was extensive. Vintages were off so if that’s important to you, I’m sure you’re used to asking so just ask. BONUS: They made my friend’s birthday very special with some really unique touches!

   Second time in a week. The food and service were outstanding. Leigh Anne was flawless with our larger group. I can’t stop thinking about this restaurant.

    A truly wonderful experience. The staff were so pleasant and engaging, including the chef and managers.  The food and drinks were unique and delivered very timely.  I think they are in their first month of operation and will only get better as time goes on.
