   Our 4 roast meals today were greatly enjoyed, chicken x 2, lamb and pork, all of ample amounts and on hot plates with extra gravy provided. Puddings...ice cream, creme brulee, 'boozy' tiramisu and ice cream sundae also delicious. Will call in during the week to pay for the drinks which had been missed off the bill!! Peter K

   We had a lovely Xmas meal at the Kings Head. The flavour of the food was excellent and everything on the plate well balanced. The cranberry and orange sauce was delightful.

   Disappointing dinner. Despite confirming our Christmas menu choices by email, when our party arrived we were told they had no notification we were having the Christmas menu. We waited for another half an hour and I had to find a waitress to get some drinks for the table. Food arrived and was mediocre with small portions. The vegetable tart in particular was so small it looked like a starter! My friend had to ask for vegetables to bulk it out. Another diner's confit duck leg was totally dry and difficult to eat. There was no Christmas ambience and the table was bare of any crackers or anything remotely Christmassy. The staff were polite but uninterested. We did get a small reduction in the cost because of the mix up re the Christmas menu but we all left feeling disappointed. Not a good experience at all.

   Wonderful village pub with good quality food. Good value for money, lovely vibrant bar with a quieter restaurant if you prefer. Been numerous of times, really consistent.

    Best roast ever!!! Great cocktails too!! Lovely atmosphere and staff. Never had as bad meal and the ambience is just right. Love this place x
