   Service was awful. We were ignored. One persons main dish came first, and the others had to wait ten minutes. Some dishes were wrong. Waiter didnt seem bothered.

   Gorgeous restaurant, the decor is fab, lovely little touches and the view of St Paul’s is perfect. I thought that the staff are really good and friendly too. The food was delicious and I had the best cocktail I’ve ever had! My only negative was the noise volume, it was difficult to hear the wait staff and each other.

   When attempting to enter for our reservation one of our party was stopped and given a hard time about being drunk, he wasn’t drunk, he is partially sighted and uses peripheral vision to get around. When we eventually got in to the front desk we were told we wouldn’t be served alcohol because one of our party was too drunk but now it was someone else in the party and we were told we wouldn’t be served any alcohol at the table. We were then made to wait for an extended period for the table to be ready when it was already setup. Despite all this Food was excellent and we were able to order drinks with our meal, a lot of faff to cover up for a mistake that could have been solved with a simple apology for the initial Misunderstanding.

   It was our anniversary and we were told over the phone that we could arrive earlier and have a drink at the bar beforehand. When we got there, the front of house manager told us there was no room and that we had to come back at the time of our dinner reservation. There was no apology, and no empathy. We went to Madisons rooftop bar around the corner (beautifully venue overlooking St Paul’s) and came back in time for our reservation. Our table was not ready and there was again no apology and the front of house manager was instead actively rude. When we were eventually taken upstairs after I asked to see the manager, he proceeded to tell us it’s a very “popular and busy place and these things happen”. Once again the words “we are sorry” were never uttered. We had requested a more private table when we booked but we were probably put in one of the loudest busiest spots where we could hardly hear ourselves. On the plus side, it’s a stunning venue and decor, our waiter was very attentive and apologised and did not charge for our glasses of champagne. The food was also outstanding. If the front of house manager and the actual restaurant manager had used just 3 little words “we are sorry”, this review would have been a lot higher.

   It's ok, not great! Originally, we were given the wrong side order, which was replaced fairly quickly. I had to grab another waiter, as the one who put our food down left so quickly that he didn't hear me when I said that we had the wrong order. Despite that, the food, although good, was so expensive for what it actually was. I ordered salmon teriyaki and it was a very small portion with no side included (£27 for this!). We ordered sides to share - one kimchi rice for £7 and aubergine for £9. Both moderately sized. The aubergine was delicious, but just one half of an aubergine. When ordering, the waiter said that we should really share 6 dishes between us (including the large plates). With a couple of soft drinks and mochi desserts, the meal was over £100 for the 2 of us. so would have been at least £40 more if we had taken the waiter's advice. I know it's the Ivy, but does it still deserve so much hype now it's become such a widespread chain?

   Wonderful lunch experience - the set three courses were good value for money. Our overall bill was expensive due to the delicious cocktails and wine!!! Attentive service throughout - highly recommend.

    I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the extremely poor treatment my family and I received at this establishment during our recent visit. We had made a reservation for 20:30 and called earlier in the afternoon, specifically requesting a table that could accommodate our stroller, as we were dining with a three-month-old baby. However, upon arrival, we were left in an area between a sliding door and the bathroom for approximately 15 minutes. This location was not only uncomfortable but also exposed us to cold wind each time the door opened, which was highly distressing for our infant. Despite explaining the situation to Jess, the front desk manager, and repeatedly requesting to be moved to a warmer area, we were met with refusal. Jess dismissed our concerns, stating, “problems happen in restaurants,” and did not offer any further assistance or solution. This lack of empathy and attention to our situation was deeply frustrating and unacceptable. We understand that unforeseen issues can occur, but the level of disregard we experienced for our needs, particularly with a young baby, was completely inappropriate. This is not the level of service we expect from a restaurant of your caliber. We hope that you take this feedback seriously and ensure that no other guests have to endure such a disappointing experience in the future.
