   I can’t fault the service or the ambience, but the food was very disappointing given how much it cost. The food was tepid in temperature and lack of care had been taken on presentation of the main courses. Then when we hadn’t finished our meal we were told by one of the main waitresses that we had to leave in 15m as the table was needed for another sitting. This wasn’t acceptable in my opinion as we arrived early to our booking and forced to sit in the bar. Given the popularity and reputation of the Ivy Asia I felt the whole experience very disappointing and below all expectations.

   The service was a bit hit-and-miss. We ordered cocktails at the bar whilst we waited for our table which didn't arrive for 15 mins, we were then taken to our table where we told them we had cocktails ordered, another 15 mins and they finally arrived. We ordered food to come out in stages with a half duck last to ensure it stayed warm, the food then arrived all at once so we had to send the duck back until we were ready for it. The ambience is great but with the iffy service and the food not being incredible, it didn't seem worth the lofty bill.

   Hi lovely birthday treat and the service was first rate. The food tasted lovely but wasn’t piping hot hence 4 stars we didn’t say anything as overall a very pleasant experience and sure if I had of asked they would have warmed it up more. But all of our dishes were warm but not hot and I didn’t want to make a fuss on my birthday. Would definitely recommend as it’s a great venue and staff are wonderful.

   I went here for my birthday the first time I’ve been to Ivy Asia. I have visited the Ivy many times and have always had a great experience. This time was disappointing. We were putting the upstairs balcony, There was no atmosphere the downstairs was bustling and we missed out on all that. There was a long wait for drinks to be served. So I would advise if you go to request a sit downstairs. The experience would’ve been so much better.

   Amazing experience from start to finish. I took my partner there for his birthday and we had the most amazing time. Great service, the most delicious food and such a cool atmosphere. And they even got my partner a little extra treat for his birthday. We will definitely be coming back.

    Eaten here on three occasions with 4 people for a pre Christmas meet up. Our first year was truly amazing, top quality service, top quality food, a real wow experience and probably THE place to eat in Brighton. Last year was equally enjoyable although we did not notice the menu had changed. This year was unfortunately different. Front of house being shambollic. We wrrived 10 minutes before our table was ready and we're asked to wait at the bar. Normal practice for a busy restaurant, except it was half empty. We were in Christmas spirit and ordered some cocktails. No sooner than we ordered them, FOH arrived and asked us to move to our table. We requested to sit and enjoy and drinks at the bar that we had ordered and move to the table after. We finished our drinks within 10 minutes and I went to front desk to ask for our table. After another 5 minutes I went back again. When we were taken to our table and it had the drinks from other diners sitting there. After two different waiting staff questioning this they were finally removed. Our waiter was friendly and food excellent. I had to ask 4 times to have a glass of ice on the table. Overall we were so disappointed. A place that had been so special and a treat to visit, no longer felt that way. We also noted that the restaurant was half empty in comparison to a few years ago. Unless they improve the service we will not be going back.
