The interior design is outstanding - very lavish and theatrical. A lot of money has been spent on this and it is visually exciting. The staff are very attentive and clearly well trained - despite having an uphill battle making themselves heard over the deafening music. Basically, the type of music and volume are what you would expect at a club - and they do use a DJ some evenings, apparently. The problem with this is that you cannot easily hear anything your companions say and you end up shouting a bit and then saying very little when this becomes tiring. Not the place for either intimate or stimulating conversation - or much conversation at all, really. We had a sharing menu consisting of a number of different dishes all served promptly one after the other. It was good food but not outstanding, in my opinion. It is also expensive. The cheapest bottle of wine is £50 and goes up in increments to well over £100 a bottle. We had the cheaper of the two sharing menus at £48 pp but you could pay a lot more for a la carte or the pricier sharing option.. The washrooms (shared with The Ivy next door) are also lavish and well maintained. On our visit, it was full of girls/ young women taking pictures of each other for Instagram so a bit of a scrum. And that sums it up really - it’s about being able to say you’ve been there and sending pictures to show off about it rather than the experience itself. I actually felt more relaxed once I left than when I was there. So, not for me but an interesting (if expensive) experiment.

Had an amazing experience at Ivy Asia this past Friday. The food and the ambience (including the great playlist) were fantastic. But I have to specifically mention the service because it really stood out. Reese (hope I got the spelling right) was our waiter and he was amazing. So friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. We will definitely be back to Ivy Asia on a regular basis!

Tables far too close together, you can hear everything everyone else is talking about around you. Food mediocre- not worth the prices. Unfortunately it’s all style over substance and we really wanted to like it.

Superb. Absolutely lived up to expectations in every way. Had the set, but will be back for the full menu. 10/10, would struggle to find a fault.

The food was exceptional. Although it was very busy on a Saturday night, we did not feel at all rushed. We sat at the counter which was fun as we could watch the cocktails being made. Although very expensive, it was a special treat and one we will remember.
