It was very crowded yet all the food came out really quickly. Everyone was happy with their entrees (cubano sandwich, poke bowl, burger and Buffalo chicken wrap). Queen Anne fries appetizer was delicious and the French macarons were gone in a minute. If I lived in Teaneck, I would go often.

We went out for a nice family dinner for my husband birthday but it turned into one mishap after another. The service was terrible. The food was burned. The steak came without a steak knife. Buns went flying. If we went to the well we would have gotten water faster. The birthday dessert never came and we were left with a mess of plates on our table because no one cleaned it up. The staffs focus seemed to be on their take-out orders.

I fully understand that vegetarians are typically not choosing Humble Toast for dinner...However, if you have a House Veggie Burger on the menu that is "house made with too many ingredients to count", than you shouldn't serve a $17 veggie burger that came from a box. The Queen Anne's fries and Knish were delicious and our daughters enjoyed their burgers. But, my wife and I, both vegetarian, were extremely disappointed and the store-bought veggie patties spoiled our experience. If you don't have the goods, take the item off the menu!

I ordered the pastrami sandwich. The meat was good but there was barely any sourkraut on the sandwich and it was only on one bite of it and not spread out. Additionally, there was wayyy too much whole grain mustard. Also, we ordered the humble fries (loaded fries?) which were pretty good but there was barely any sauce on them I feel like this could have been executed better for the pricing. For these reasons along with the crowding, I probably won't be back soon.

Service was great and so was the food! The waitress was very helpful in helping us modifying our orders to our liking. Although you were very busy-we got our order promptly. Everything was delicious!

This was not our first time here and Humble Toast never disappoints. Food is outstanding and consistent, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Everyone loves it when we go and we definitely will return!

Where do I begin? Our reservations were for outdoor dining but when we arrived there was a fierce rainstorm which had started over an hour before and we were told by three different people that they could not seat us because our "reservations were for outside." We asked why they did not call us to tell us that, since we had driven over 45 minutes to get there. (In the meantime there were several empty tables.) Apparently, after several minutes, someone used their head and said they would find us a table. The entire time we sat there eating (well over an hour) there were empty tables. The one good thing to add here is that the waitstaff was very attentive and worked hard to take our order and serve it. One of us ordered a "bowl of chicken rice soup," $10.00, and the Asian chicken salad ($18.00). The soup only arrived after the main courses were served and it was a half full cup and had no rice in it. The Asian chicken salad (Heavy on the Asian and light on the chicken!) was a bowl of cut up lettuce and a few small pieces of chicken....hardly an $18.00 dish. The "top O' the Morning" burger was decent though the "bakon" was inedible. Unless there are some COVID rules I don't know about, I cannot understand why a self-described "burger and fries" bistro would serve catsup in tiny disposable covered cups which contained at most, 2 tablespoons of catsup. The waste and environmental impact is criminal. It's a burger joint--bottles of catsup are acceptable. As far as the noise level--it was painful. Also, if social distancing was still required, you could not eat here as there is little room between tables. I hate to have to give this kind of a review to a new place whose owners clearly worked hard and spent lots of money. Running a kosher restaurant is not easy and is expensive but don't take advantage of your customers with overpricing and some untrained staff.
