   The Hawkeye Bar & Grill was absolutely Phenomenal. The whole experience we had was perfect from beginning to end. Our Waitress Isabella was wonderful & if we lived closer this would be “our spot”.

   The food is excellent in a grand old hotel. We have eaten there on several occasions. This time, the waitress could just not be bothered - very unattentive

   Excellent dinner in a grand old hotel. Food was very good, although a bit fussy in some ways. Regardless, it was a great dinner.

   We had a wonderful experience here. The food so good. So good. We are visiting from NYC which has some amazing food too and this place had better prime rib and dessert. The crème brûlée was the best!! Also the staff was friendly and even helped us plan out our trip. Also kids menu was excellent too! Love this spot in Cooperstown. Fire pit was also beautiful.

   I want to start my review of my most recent meal at The Hawkeye with I have eaten at the Hawkeye often and always found the food consistent with no complaints. Last evenings meal changed my opinion. We were pleasantly seated, and really enjoy the live soft jazz trio, but the food and service were both a surprise disappointment. We began our meal with the burrata appetizer , the accompanying bread was so hard it was both hard to break into edible sizes and too hard to eat easily. When we mentioned to the wait person that we did not like the appetizer her response was similar to “oh well.” For my dinner I ordered the Crispy Thai salad which I found inedible, it was way too spicy. I like spice- a bit of a kick in the background, but this was over the top. The other two entrees ordered at the table were, mediocre Prime-rib, and tasty pizza. Unfortunately, I don’t go to a sit down dinner for pizza, but that was the best meal served last night at our table.

   A nice varied menu, maybe a bit pricey for lunchtime but excellent food. Service was excellent and prompt, as was the kitchen. A beautiful view of Otsego Lake and fall foliage from our table by the window. We would visit again and recommend for anyone who wants a more upscale lunch experience.

   The food was excellent and my server, Isabella was a delight. She was helpful, friendly and efficient. A beautiful, sunny day and the view down the lake made for a perfect lunch.

    This is a lovely setting for dining. Unfortunately the weather did not allow for patio dining this late in the season. We were seated promptly and greeted readily by the waitstaff. The food was tasty and served at proper temperature. Unfortunately the waitstaff were not on their game-we rarely saw our server. One member of our table wanted a second glass of wine but couldn’t get anyone’s attention to make the request. We had to ask for a dessert menu and, anticipating a long wait, decided to go home and fix a treat. Overall a very good meal but less than experience.
