The Harold is a casual comfortable relaxed place to eat and still be conveniently located to everything. It is reasonably priced with wonderful food. I have eaten both brunch and dinner at the Harold. The service is exceptional. They are accessible yet not over bearing. The waiter last night helped a great deal by rushing our entrees since we needed to make a show. The Fajitas and Pappardelle dishes were fabulous. They were well seasoned but not overwhelming.

The dips flight was tasty, but very small amounts of each dip. Probably about a tablespoon each. Not ideal for sharing. The shakshuka had great flavor, but the eggs were hard boiled and clearly had been prepared way ahead of time, as there was a brown ring around the yolks, the telltale sign of an egg that’s been hard boiled for a while. The rosemary potatoes were delicious, as was the French toast. Prices are steep for what you’re getting, but fairly typical for the location.

Nice to find a casual restaurant near Penn Station. Menu had many items to choice from. Sitting upstairs you get a great view to the street.
