   I found the experience overall disappointing. From a very small menu- 2 of the dishes were sold out by the time we got there. The waitress who was serving us at the end was beyond rude.

   What a disappointment and we were expecting so much more considering all the hype. Parking, it’s like Westfield’s on December 24th. One entry only via a carpark which starts off with a goat pen, so I wasn’t sure if that meant we picked our meals there - pen to plate? This is also the starting point to battle your way through the bars and takeaway food outlets to reach the cafe, don’t look for signs - there are none. Cafe: no need to book (which we had) as they ignore that and make you line up with everyone else who are waiting to buy takeaway drinks and cakes or dine in. There is a small post at the door with arrows indicating where to line up for dining or takeaway but unfortunately if people stood in those designated lines no one could get out of the cafe as waitstaff constantly come and go with food and drinks catering to group diners within other parts of the venue. Once seated in the overcrowded cafe, as they’ve sacrificed customer comfort over putting in as many tables as possible, our hot meals arrived quickly but cold and the narrow mason glasses were full of ice leaving only a small amount for the drink. There’s only one male/female toilet, but given it’s as hot as hell in there you’ll dehydrate so you won’t need them. There’s no aircon or ceiling fans. Once you’ve paid for the meal you’re given the golden receipt, you will need this to enter the Christmas displays. This is a narrow pathway with large displays, all of which are crammed together and interspersed with stalls selling tacky merchandise and overpriced flowers. It all feels like a junkyard, or old rejects from past Myer and David Jones Christmas window displays. Be prepared to wait for those ahead of you to take their photos with the displays before you are exited into the car park again. I’m sure they’ll bang on about the “cost of living” as to why they justify the prices and due to popular demand want as many people through to experience it, but save yourself the trip and don’t bother.

   The place was absolutely amazing! Even the torrential rain we got hit with didn’t take away from the vibe, scenery and atmosphere of the venue. Highly highly recommend The service and food were outstanding!

   Absolutely love the sugar plum theme. Love to know how mat ballet slippers were use in the Christmas tree

   I had a fantastic experience at The Grounds Cafe. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavour & the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, will definitely return.

    Kids meals are poor. More effort for the kids meals pizza was all dough barely any topping and under cooked Quesadillas undercooked Kids burger frozen patty awful. Main meals very small and overpriced Drinks are ridiculously overpriced $8 for a soda water !!
