Owned and managed by husband-and-wife team, Daniel Crump MCA and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the restaurant was crowned the 24/25 AA Restaurant of the Year (England).
Based in a 17th century coaching inn in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town, it has also been voted an OpenTable Diners’ Choice, one of the most romantic restaurants in the UK, and named among the top 100 restaurants in the country by SquareMeal.
The Grade II-listed venue has a variety of spaces where guests can enjoy a meal or drink.
The various menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available, including that grown in the kitchen garden. Vegans, vegetarians and guests with dietary requirements receive an equally special dining experience.
The Greyhound also has a diverse wine list, which won an AA Notable Wine List Award. As well as the wine list developed by Margriet, who is certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers, there is also a wide range of international beers.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The service was exemplary and the food delicious. It is not cheap but is excellent value for the quality of the food and the additional treats in between courses are a lovely surprise. Special shout out to Rohit who showed us around after our meal. We'll definitely go back

This dining experience never disappoints, super staff who are welcoming but not overbearing. They've been well trained to be knowledgeable about all their dishes & including the more obscure ingredients used. The food itself is delicious, beautifully presented & well portioned so you don't leave feeling uncomfortably full. The little extras bites that you don't order but come as standard help make this destination somewhere really special . I will definitely be returning!

We booked a table for 2 for lunch on a Thursday. Service was excellent and welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left 90 minutes later. There were many people dining upstairs, but we were seated downstairs and we chose from their standard lunch menu (which we were told is changed every season). Waiting times between courses was very good, enough time to talk relax and we didn't feel rushed, and we were given small items to eat before the starter, before the main and before the desert which were all very light and very tasty. All the courses themselves were very nice and tasty, nothing left on the plate. We will definitely go back another time.

A wonderful experience for my birthday meal. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and wonderful service. Staff went above and beyond and really made it a special lunch. The little touches made it a lunch to remember. Will rave about it to everyone. Thank you all so much for a lovely afternoon.

A wonderful experience at The Greyhound in Beaconsfield today. We had a lovely table in the window which was nice and warm on a very cold day. The food, as always, was excellent with a good range of choice. Service was excellent too and overall a very successful day.

Excellent service, venison chilli con carne starter was excellent, as was all the food. Very rich and filling so couldn't fit in a dessert sadly. Some of the dishes could have done with a touch more seasoning maybe, but that's a tiny quibble and we probably like salt more than most. Lovely to be given a tour too, will definitely be back.

As always an excellent meal. Almost all our dishes were beautifully presented and perfectly executed (one exception). Service here is impeccable, from the initial greeting to the attention to detail throughout. They are justifiably proud of their dedication to staff training in both kitchen and front of house. Lovely little extra touches such as canapes, amuses, petits fours and bottomless free sparkling water are much appreciated, as is the impressive fact that they keep notes on file of what each guest has enjoyed on previous visits. The only one disappointing dish on this occasion was the stone bass with "sherry beurre blanc", which was incredibly bland, gave no hint of sherry, and lacked interest. In all other respects the food throughout was predictably excellent. Our only real complaint is a common one: the scant descriptions in their menu. Virtually every dish requires enquiry for information on ingredients and flavours from the server, which although it is readily forthcoming, really should not be necessary. A few more printed words rather than this nowadays all too common pseudo-trendy brevity would, for us, be much appreciated. The wine list is extensive and has something for most tastes and pockets, although those on a limited budget will struggle. We find the inner workings of the AA a baffling mystery - only awarding two rosettes here, and yet naming them UK Restaurant of the Year! Another rosette would be richly deserved, and surely can't be far away.
