We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!

Completely unplanned, our doors opened because two brothers went out on a limb. You see, Pete and Dave were artists who fell in love with a quiet street in the West Village called Carmine. They couldn't exactly call themselves business-savvy, but they didn't lack in the creative department. Through the years, they built a neighborhood staple that houses great eats, solid drinks, and an incredible community. We've since made homes in four different corners of NYC. Our West Village location is a hub for our first regulars, families, friends, and anyone else who simply likes good grub. We love what we do, and we can't wait to share it with you.

Great server, good location, seating not very comfortable. Food was ok, Grey Dog still needs more tasty cruelty free options (the “vegan friendly” sticker on the door is misleading). Overall a nice venue with room for improvement on menu and seating.

lots of great vegan options, the vegan egg was very similar to a soft boiled egg.
