   Don't use for Sunday lunch after midday as therewas no beef left,air con was on full entire room frozen as were the plates .cold food .out of choice , food missing from dsh as advertised l tried charging for six drinks when only had four, never seen so many people get up and leave a place ,terrible allround.

   Had lovely Sunday roast with friends . Excellent quality beef and they all made a fuss of my Golden Retriever puppy. Live in wells and love the position of pub and service

   Where do I start? We booked to have dinner and when we arrived the pub was fairly quiet. We wanted to order the trio of roasts but the beef had run out. So we opted to have a mix of rolled belly of pork and chicken. There was no stuffing, no leeks or apple sauce as these too had run out. The meat was ok, chunky chicken pieces and the pork was a little tough. We had our dog with us too and they advertised dog meals so we were offered dried fish and chips. It was only after we gave this to our dog that I noticed that the best before date had been scratched out. Sadly both myself and my partner became unwell in the night as did our dog who ended up having to see the vet. I have complained to the pub to make them aware but they are very slow to respond. I wouldn’t recommend the Golden Fleece to eat, but Nikki our server couldn’t have been more obliging.

   Friendly, welcoming staff and the best Sunday lunch I’ve had in ages. Large portion with tender meat and a variety of veg. Highly recommend.

   We came back to The Golden Fleece because the new owners have brought back the Sunday dinner.It didn't disappoint.Was good value.I had the trio of meat roast and highly recommend.Good service friendly staff.Will be back

   We had a lovely valentines meal there today . Both Louise and Dale made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent and the choice of drinks was great too. Will not hesitate to visit again .

   Lovely meal in a great pub which is in a wonderful location. The staff are very attentive and professional. Our meal was lovely. Fresh. Well cooked and tasty. Loved it.

   A welcome addition to the Wells eating out scene, sitting nicely standard and price-wise between fine dining and usual pub food. A lot of imaginative marketing going on behind the scenes to sell tables mid-week in January and there were a good few customers. Service could have been quicker but there was only one member of staff dealing with food and bar so not her fault at all. Music was a bit intrusive and would have liked the option of booking a dog-free area ( perhaps that will change later in the season). Hopefully the pub will now have a long stay in the town after successive management changes.

    Nice atmosphere and fabulous view over the quay - staff were friendly and efficient. Food was good value - all you need from a decent pub.
