   I ate there 2 nights in a row. The first night was a walk in and everything went well. The server told us the kitchen would be closing soon, and we would need to order everything asap. The second night we had a reservation. We did not get the heads-up about the kitchen closing soon. It was a Saturday so we assumed the kitchen would be closing later. My child was disappointment she could not have dessert because the kitchen closed. The food was good and arrived in a timely manner. Our server on day 1 was more attentive than the server on day 2. I loved that the restaurant was connected to the hotel. This made it a very convenient dining spot since it was raining all the days of my visit.

   The food SOUNDS better on the menu than how it actually tastes when you are served. WAYGU BEEF TIPS WITH RICE… that sounded so good, however I think Smokey bones or Outback would’ve done a better job!

   The server completely messed up order. One person got NO food. Food came sporadically and some things desperately needed salt.

   Excellent experience!! Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. I would recommend The Foundry to anyone for dinner plans.

   Food was not as spectacular as I would have liked. Portions were pretty small and we were hungry after an appetizer and 2 entrees. Service started off great but then at the end our server disappeared and it took a long time to get the check. View and atmosphere were amazing just wasn’t all I wanted it to be.

   Probably one of the best meals we’ve had around Dayton in 4 years! Pork belly, calamari, Brussels sprouts Caesar were all perfect—savory, plentiful and fair pricing. Service was just right too. Our server came by and followed up with us several times as did one of the kitchen managers. Nice casual decor, especially the bar and outdoor seating. Music was a bit too loud but we’ll be back!!
