We arrived and we were seated in the bar on a table that was quite cramped , the restaurant area was closed as we were the only 4 there for a meal Such a shame as last time I was there it was buzzing with atmosphere It was a Tuesday night so maybe that was the reason but we’ve been to other restaurants on a Tuesday night which were better

First time visitors to the Fighting Cocks for a Sunday Roast. Friendly welcome on arrival with great friendly service continuing throughout our visit. Duo of roast meats, great roasties, lots of veg, big yorkie, nice gravy, overall a very tasty Sunday lunch. Apple and Pear crumble, Chocolate fudge cake for desserts, also very tasty. Really enjoyed our lunch and the pub atmosphere. Will visit again. (Huge garden which apparently is very popular during spring and summer months).

As usual a lovely lunchtime meal with friends. The Vintage menu is good value and you certainly won’t go away hungry! Excellent attentive service and we’re made to feel very comfortable. We will be returning very soon.
