   Food was excellent as usual, one of the waiting staff was a little over enthusiastic, no need to shout across entire floor when announcing a course to each table. Took eye of the ball a bit when the meal was ending, waiting ages for last course and bill. We emailed twice in advance to request a change from the venison, when asked we request again and was pushed to have the vegetarian instead and only offered a different protein when we said no to veggie? If someone had responded to the emails this could have been sorted in advance.

   The 6 course tasting menu was outstanding- Exceptional flavours and presentation. The Chef readily accommodated my wife's s requirement that no food was cooked in butter or had it directly applied to the food.

   We were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard of cooking and imaginative menu at the Fig Tree. We went to celebrate two December birthdays with friends and had the tasting menu. This was well thought out and delivered some exceptional dishes. Sensible wine list too. We will definitely be returning

   There are other restaurants within reasonable distance from our home offering similar menus but none offer such consistent perfection in their food and wine.From delicious canapés through well thought out courses ending with desserts to die for,washed down with a superb Viognier our evening was a delight. And the clincher- all priced sensibly enough to lure us back.

   Great to read such a wonderful and inspiring menu; the food tastes even better than it reads and served with a delicious wine. Beautifully presented and served with pride and a smile. What more can you ask for for a truly exceptional evening.

   Beautiful restaurant we had the tasting menu which was such good value for money & was delicious. We go there at least twice a year when we visit family & it never disappoints. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends & family.

   Wonderful food, beautifully presented. The warm roll is always delicious, and the soufflé amazing. Our favourite restaurant in Sussex.

   Six family members met for lunch, having been on a number of previous occasions. We all had the tasting menu which was delicious and up to the usual high standard. The staff who looked after us were also very good. We all had a most enjoyable time.

   Simply excellent, as always, the food and wine are absolutely amazing. The staff are ultimately friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We’ll be back as soon as we can!
