   The food was amazing! I highly recommend the white fish in the lemon butter sauce and the brownie sundae for dessert. One of the best brownies I’ve ever had! Our server, Jack, was awesome. Super friendly and quick! We can’t wait to come back!

   We all indicated our burgers—ordered at various levels—were extremely well done, not the med-rare, med. as requested. This clearly was a kitchen failure totally. We politely mentioned the situation, but no accommodation was offered. I want to like Evie as I loved Bandera, but this was not handled as well as it could have been. I am reserving my judgment.    Went to dinner with some girlfriends and enjoyed the entire experience. Our table looked out on Michigan Ave and it was perfect. Our drinks were great, the service and food were also wonderful. My only wish was that there were more options for wine by the glass. Each of us have different tastes in wine so we were ordering by the glass and my chardonnay choices were somewhat limited - but not enough to make me give a rating of anything less than 5 stars!

    Have spent thousands at Evie previously and had a quality experience. This evening, was just not up to par. The salmon wasn't very good and we ordered a steak without the garlic butter and specifically told them we has an allergy to garlic. Steak came from the kitchen with the garlic butter we asked the person who brought our steak to take it back and get us a completely new steak without garlic (butter), and told them why and reiterated to not just remove the butter, but to bring back a different steak. 3 minutes later our wait person brought back the same steak without the butter. We had to explain what happened and said that was the same steak. They did then take it back and even came back and told us it would be 8 to 10 minutes, which is what it should been the first time. A third person then did bring back a new steak and it was OK, but he was rather rude. The service staff this evening were just not in a mood to provide good service. If wanted to be treated like this we could have gone to Denny's. Not what you expect from a place charging over $150 per person for the experience. Don't plan to go back to Evie's knowing this is what can happen. Not worth it.
