   Arrived and was greeted immediately by a member of the team who was very welcoming and helpful. He showed us to our room which was very presentable, comfortable with double doors leading out to a deck and lovely views of the fields beyond. Bed was comfortable. We went downstairs for dinner which the food was delicious and freshly cooked. The wine was also very good. We have really enjoyed our time here so far. Departing in the morning after breakfast

   I cannot fault The Duke William, the whole experience was amazing, the decor of the pub out side already set for Christmas was outstanding, then it just got better from there, the decor inside, the atmosphere all brilliant, but the food was outstanding best meal out we’ve had in a very long time, well done and thank you..

   As always we enjoyed a wonderful relaxed lunch at the Duke William. Staff members Jenny & Adam excelled at making us welcome. We like the new menu, especially the Jerusalem artichoke & goat's curd starter which is delicious. Ditto our old favourite the vegan cheeseburger & fries. There are so many things we like about the Duke William which is why we have dined there 3 times in recent weeks. Delights include the roaring log fire, beautiful garden with views across the fields & oast houses, plus the friendliness of the staff. We also like the ease of parking. The Duke William is our favourite country pub. Our only complaint is that Kentish Gypsy Tart is no longer on the menu, it was our favourite dessert, but has not been available to order for a long time :(

   Absolutely fantastic food, a lovely roast dinner that is as good as I’ve had anywhere. Service was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Adults and children couldn’t have been happier, will be back again soon!

   Lovely food, good atmosphere. Staff tried to rush the ordering process as soon as we sat down as had lots of tables coming in.
