I’m a regular at the Dolar Shop & they usually live up to their brand of a luxury dining experience. Except today. I had a waiter who didn’t seem interested. He didn’t provide us with the usual soy sauce & it was a long wait for any requests made. What ruined my experience today was that there was a bug in my soup & I showed the waiter & he reported it to the duty manager. The manager said that it was likely from the vegetables. They gave me a drink voucher for my next visit as I had finished my meal. I’ve felt sick knowing there was a bug contaminating my food and that I ate most of it before discovering it floating in my soup, I wish I hadn’t ate it. The waiter didn’t seem apologetic about my experience & I felt like the duty manager minimized the issue by giving me a complementary drink, to be redeemed next visit. Really disappointed with the service and food standard today.

BEST HOTPOT IVE EVER HAD We felt so full after that we could hardly walk. Expensive but everything tasted so good - the Szechuan spicy broth was excellent, and I had it with the beef sauce. Bought the lean wagyu and my partner had the normal wagyu. The service was excellent - it was quite spicy so we needed a refill of tissues, and the waiter felt so sorry for us that we got offered ice cream, he was quite the gentleman. Only place in Australia where I'd actually want to tip - above and beyond. I will come back !! Love you guys ! thanks for the amazing food and hospitality

Great quality meat cuts and soup base. A lot of house-made sauce options to choose from at the sauce bar. Portions per dish was more than we expected and ended up ordering a bit too much. Not the cheapest hotpot meal but quality of all the ingredients and service was worth the premium - keen to come back :)
