   Very nice independent pub ,staff very friendly ,service was quick ,food came out really fast ,good portion size ,we haven't used very often ,but they have large function room with bar that we have booked for upcoming family get together ,very close to where we live so will be using more often now

   We came to the crofton as a group of friends who have not seen each other for a while and as usual the food was lovely and the staff were great and very helpful.

   Came for the first time for a Mother’s Day treat and we all had a lovely roast dinner. The place was really busy but all the staff were all so welcoming, friendly and attentive. The Yorkshire puddings were homemade and huge, the roast beef and lamb portions were very generous. Will definitely return

   Welcomed into the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and genuinely interested staff. The food was nicely presented and generous with portion size. We have been visiting The Crofton over 20 years now for various occasions and have never been disappointed.

   Things have changed at the Crofton. Where as once upon a time you got good basic value for money food, Crofton has now joined the rest of the local pubs and increased prices above and beyond what inflation dictates. I appreciate that wages, fuel and food have all increased since Covid, but the customer is still paying for it. It is time that the restaurant world wake up and realised that less and less will be trending to traditional pubs and restaurants and give their custom to others. You only have to look at chains like Wetherspoons, Hungry Horse and similar pub chains to see where the crowds are. They are looking for value for money.
