   Service was really good and welcoming food came very fast despite it being busy. Atmosphere was amazing only things were the toilets were a bit of a let down with the floor being wet and one of the doors not locking could do with a refurb and the steak was a bit too cooked when asked for medium rare. But would definitely go back

   We were in Lancaster to visit our daughter who has just started at the uni. We chose this venue because of the extensive gluten free menu for our GF daughter, and the food did not disappoint. However, there was a live singer whose sound levels were so high that even though we weren’t in the room where he was playing, we could not hear each other to have a conversation so we ate super quickly and left. Such a shame.

   Fantastic service so friendly helpful - my steak was well over cooked and chips not cooked enough - I should said something but the company I was in it was appropriate This venue isn’t far off from being fantastic - massively iimorove on the menu and food quality and it will fly - as it has everything else - Toilets need a refurb - not a great quality customer experience

   Having lived in Lancaster our whole lives, we’ve never considered coming to The Cornerhouse for a meal, never mind our first wedding anniversary meal. We booked for 7:30pm on a busy Friday in October for our anniversary and it was in the height of the Lancaster Music Festival. I can honestly say the atmosphere was wild but so lovely to sit down to a meal to. We were greeted by a lovely blonde server at 6pm who I kindly asked if we could move our table forward, she wholly agreed and made the effort for this. We then were served by a tall male with dark hair and glasses - who was a breath of fresh air. He took our order with a smile and was extremely caring. We did wish the live music could have been slightly quieter as felt ourselves shouting however enjoyed this nonetheless. The pizza was divine. The chips were crispy and fluffy, the onion rings were to die for. My husband’s steak was perfect - a holy grail to find somewhere where medium rare is done right! The Sticky Toffee Pudding also made an appearance and was demolished so quick. We were asked if everything was okay and we asked to take our leftovers home, the server boxed this up kindly and met all our needs this night. We left a £5 tip, and would have personally tipped the young man and blonde lady (I think she had glasses too) as they were honestly a highlight to the staff team, but we had no cash on us! They didn’t even expect a tip which was the sweetest part as they did not recognise their top quality service. Thank you for making our first wedding anniversary so special, we will come again soon. <3 Well done.

    Lovely tasty pizza. The carbonara was fresh and sauce was just right with chunky tender pieces of ham
