The Copley Arms is a fantastic riverside pub, five minutes from the beaches at Seaton and Downderry. With stone walls, beamed ceilings and cosy corners throughout, it’s the perfect location for dining with friends, family or intimate evenings for two! We pride ourselves on serving fantastic food and drink with a strong emphasis on local produce and offering our locals and out of town guests genuine hospitality. With fires throughout and large riverside gardens the the pub is perfect for all seasons.

Our menu is served throughout the pub, in our large stonewalled bar with open fire and woodburner, our cosy snug, and in our restaurant with beamed ceilings and woodburner.

Lovely friendly service right from arrival, cosy atmosphere with candles and lighting and fab Christmas trees. Food was outstanding, we had roast pork and it was gorgeous . Certainly will be going back and will highly recommend.😀

Very welcoming and accomodating for wheelchair access. 3 members of my family enjoyed their main meal. Unfortunately myself and my nephew ordered fish and chips. The fish appeared to be a thin insubstantial tastless fillet incased in a strange tasting batter which disintegrated when we tried to cut into it. I felt I needed to mention that it was somewhat lacking. Apparently gluten free batter is used. It did not say this on the menu only that gluten free or dairy free was an option if discussed. Desserts were average quality. It would have been nice to have been offered a discount as two of the party were unhappy with their meal. I left feeling hungry. I'm afraid I won't be returning.

The new owners have added a touch of class to this village pub, which to be fair needed it. The new decor is without doubt a massive improvement, much more welcoming. The staff are really polite but in my opinion they are a few short and could do with adding to their numbers to be fully attentive to the diners. I think it is early days for these guys but the signs are encouraging. Definitely will be visiting more often.

I don’t think the new management have taken time to understand what the local community needed. The place without a doubt looks better. Great job. But with zero atmosphere. It didn’t feel friendly. There was not one familiar local face at the bar. There was no one at the bar for any period. Your quiet dining area works well. Food is promising offer. but again. Atmosphere, detracted from decent food offering. Bar and bar-side, is a no go. No atmosphere etc. Nothing behind the bar. Dont want to do down a new business. As there is a lot of potential.
